USRP Symposium 2017 showcases undergraduate biomedical engineering research at U of T

The U of T Institute of Biomaterials & Biomedical Engineering hosted the Undergraduate Summer Research Program (USRP) Symposium on August 16 in the Bahen Centre for Information Technology (BA) to showcase work conducted by more than 70 students in the program.

Trainees from across Canada and parts of the U.S. conducted biomedical engineering research from May to August on campus and at partner hospitals under the supervision of IBBME faculty members across four research themes.

The Symposium included a keynote address by Professor Alison McGuigan on the topic of Tissue-engineered culture platforms for therapy discovery.
